Sunday 20th May - Come and meet Hope Trust at The Hut on Felixstowe Promenade.  We'll be there all day between 11-3.30pm serving coffee, a light buffet lunch and then cream scones in the afternoon.  If you support Hope Trust as a guest, volunteer, helper or donor you'd be most welcome to join us.

Bereavement Support Group - Losing someone you care about can be one of life’s most difficult experiences.  There are no easy answers when dealing with bereavement, every situation is unique and people react in different ways.  This 6-week course offers a combination of insight and interaction in a safe and friendly environment where feelings and emotions are respected; not counselling, but a chance, as a group, to explore the grief process and it’s many emotions worked through as the inevitable adjustments to life that loss brings are experienced.

The next 6-week course will be hosted in October, here at Maidstone Hall, 127 Maidstone Hall, Felixstowe.  If you would like to chat before then, simply call us on 01394 272592.
Letter Writing - If you enjoy receiving regular, chatty letters, or want to be the writer of those letters, hope trust can help.  Simply get in touch and we can pair up volunteer letter writers with those who wish to receive them - simple but effective.

Mens' Event - Run every 6-8 weeks, the date of the next event will be advertised shortly.  The June event had the men watching a short DVD on the building of Avro Vulcan Bomber, the September session allowed the men to watch the second part, which was its last ever flight.   Over past months the group have talked to a man about building his own plane, what's it like to have a full sized windmill in your garden as well as a master model aircraft maker - what's coming up next will always be posted here, so please keep giving us a look.

Summer weekend event - Afternoon Tea: This will resume in the summer of 2018, during the Autumn & Winter months we invite older people in, once a month, for a home cooked Sunday lunch.

Growing older, Growing wiser? - Technology, driving safer for longer, housing options, health, avoiding scams, funerals - you name we've looked at it.  Next session being planned will deal with what support older people can expect from the local Adult Social Care system, what they might have to pay for and who else can help.

Learn to cook - A new idea intended to help anyone who finds themselves struggling to cook a favourite meal, for whatever reason.  Just give us a ring to find out more.
